Easy Recipe | Serves 2 or 3:
16 oz. T-bone steak
1 tsp. onion powder
1 large green pepper, cut into 6 rings
1 egg, beaten
1 cup bread crumbs
1 tsp. fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 cup flour
2 tbsp. oil
1. Sprinkle T-bone steak with onion powder and grill to desired doneness.
2. Dip green peppers into flour, then egg. Bread with mixture of bread crumbs and parsley. Heat oil in pan and fry rings until golden brown. Serve over steaks or as a side dish.
Preparation: To pan broil, place meat in heavy frying pan. Do not add liquid. Do not cover. Cook slowly, turn-ing occasionally, taking care not to pierce the meat. Pour off fat or liquids as they accumulate. Cook to desired doneness. Season as desired. To broil, place meat 1″ thick on rack 2″- 3″ from heat; cook until meat is brown on one side — approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Tum and repeat. Season.
